Put on salvation as your helmet,
and take the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God.
Pray in the Spirit at all times
and on every occasion. Stay alert and
be persistent in your prayers
for all the believers everywhere.
Ephesians 6:17-18 (NLT)

Rachel Ophoff passionately shares with all who will listen the love that God has for each of His children, and the precious gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. In the light of God’s mercy, she found forgiveness and healing from childhood abuse and addiction.  Growing in the knowledge of God meant learning to trust His character, even in the midst of tragedy. Coming full circle, she now shares her experience, strength, and hope through the written and spoken word.

An engaging speaker, Rachel draws the listener to her heart by relating how God has revealed His love, His plan, and His guidance for her through divinely inspired circumstances, the Holy Spirit, and the Word. She is living proof that Jesus is willing to save everyone, and when we accept salvation we gain access to every gift we need to live victoriously in Christ.  Her mission is teaching others how to don the armor of God and passionately wield the weapons Jesus used while here on earth: the Word of God and the power of prayer.

Every craftsman relies on the tools of their trade, and crafting a life of faith is no exception; the writings of many fine authors fill the shelves of the Coconut Mountain Library. While the Bible is the final authority on every human condition, Rachel recommends a few books that have been instrumental in her spiritual walk. Because salvation came for her in adulthood, she has a deep desire to bridge the gap between the worlds of the secular and the sacred. As a writer, her articles reflect a Christian perspective on today’s issues of homelessness, poverty, and the breakdown of societal boundaries in the world of entertainment. As a teacher, she has experience in leading Bible studies, both for women and and mixed adults, as well as teaching adult Sunday School classes. As a speaker, she preached on occasion at The Church at Carbondale, and was blessed to lead a women's retreat on Captivating, by John and Staci Eldredge. From MOPS meetings to memorial services, the Lord has graciously allowed Rachel to share from her heart how His Word has changed her life.
